In early 2015, Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch offered a new attraction, “Manga Otaku Creator’s Nights” for teens and tweens. The response from the public was so overwhelmingly enthusiastic  that we are keeping it all year! On the first Tuesday of every month, from 7 to 8:30 pm, at the Twin Beaches  Branch, comics and manga fans from ages 10 to 17 can come to draw and write their own comics! Artist and illustrator (and Calvert librarian) McNevin Hayes will guide you through the basics of story layout, thumbnails, and character construction.  Japanese style snacks will be provided.  Come to as many or as few as you like!
