Calvert Library has a few perfect date nights planned for you!  Their annual free concert series, Winter Interludes, begins on Wednesday, January 22, with Dana and Susan Robinson from Asheville, North Carolina.  The Robinsons are a singer-songwriter duo who love playing southern old-time music and traditional English and Southern Mountain ballads.  How perfect to combine dinner with this special concert which starts at 7pm at Calvert Library Prince Frederick.  The second show, on January 29, features the US Navy’s Country Current group.  This premier country-bluegrass group showcases a five-member acoustic ensemble performing traditional, contemporary and original bluegrass tunes.  If you like the newer alternative music of John Mayer and Jason Mraz, you will love the February 12 show featuring Dylan Galvin whose music is described as “vivid, colorful and organic.”  You’ll hear some James Taylor influences as well in a show that will surely warm you up on a cold evening!  The final show, scheduled for February 26, will get you dancing as the library brings back 2-4-U, a county favorite!  This duo sings all your favorite songs and takes requests!  You are guaranteed to have a fun night or your money back!

Most of these performers have samples of their music on the internet.  Visit calvert.lib.md.us for links and get these shows on your calendar. See you at the library!  For more information, call Calvert Library Prince Frederick at 410-535-0291 or 301-855-1862.
