A STEAM-ulating Tween Event

 

 

Are you a Tween who enjoys the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) or are you just interested in learning something fun and new?  Then Calvert Library Prince Frederick is the place for you to be on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 6:30-8:30pm! 

 

Every tween will have the opportunity to experiment with computer science for an hour while working with IT professionals to create a simple computer program. Tweens will have the chance to strengthen computer skills and learn the basic concepts of drag and drop programming.

 

During the second hour of the event, tweens will put their engineering skills to the test by building a speedy snack.  Working together in teams, they’ll create racecars that are entirely edible!
