Join Operation T4T (Treats for Troops) at Calvert Library Interim Southern Branch. Tweens grades 5 - 7 will be participating in a night of giving back to our troops stationed overseas. Join your friends in writing letters and creating artwork to send in care packages for soldiers on Monday, November 2, from 6:30-8pm at Calvert Library Southern Branch in Solomons. If you want to show appreciation and support to deployed service men and women but don’t know where to start, this event offers tweens the opportunity to say, “Thank you.” Bring your leftover Halloween candy to include in the care packages. Stationery provided. Registration required. For more information call 410-326-5289 or visit CalvertLibrary.info.
From anysoldier.com: A letter, from you, your children, the kids at church or school, is THE BEST THING to send. A show of personal support is far better than spending a bunch of money that you don't have. The letter in the box IS more important than the box itself.
