On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, come to Calvert Library Prince Frederick to watch what is generally agreed upon as the best political film of all time. Based on the book All the President’s Men and starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as dynamic journalistic duo Woodward and Bernstein, the film covers the details of the Watergate scandal that leads to President Nixon’s resignation. It is the perfect film to watch on a November 4 when you are watching the polls and it is even better timing in that the library is also hosting an exhibit featuring political cartoonist Herb Block’s work. Block, Woodward and Bernstein were part of the main team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service in 1973 for their investigation of the Watergate scandal. Lights go down at 6:00pm and the film will be followed by a short discussion ending by 8:30pm. Movie popcorn courtesy of Apex Cinemas will be available. For more information call Robyn Truslow at (410) 535-0291 or (301) 855-1862.
