Film based on Much Ado About Nothing at Calvert Library on March 5 (press release)

On Wednesday, March 5, join Calvert Library Prince Frederick for the 2012 film version of the Shakespearean classic Much Ado About Nothing. From director Joss Whedon, one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies is reimagined in the modern day, and artfully shot in black and white. Despite the machinations of the evil Don John and his cohorts, the story of Claudio and Hero, and their bawdy and bickering friends Beatrice and Benedick, reminds us that no matter what, truth will out. The film features Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Sean Maher, Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker. Lights go down at 6:00 pm and the film will be followed by a short discussion ending by 8:30 pm.
