How to Get Library eBooks to Your Device:  Learn how to use Maryland's Digital eLibrary and the OverDrive Media Console to check out, download and read library e-books on your tablet, smartphone, ereader or computer.

If you are interested in downloading digital books, then our How to Get Library eBooks to Your Device class is for you!  Calvert Library Prince Frederick is offering the class the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm beginning on September 3.  Calvert Library Southern Branch in Solomons, offers the class every other month beginning Wednesday, September 18 from 2-3 p.m.  eBook classes will be scheduled at Fairview and Twin Beaches Branches in late fall.  Call your branch to register as class size is limited.

Using Calvert Library’s online library catalog and our digital library catalog (OverDrive) you will learn how to:

·         Search for a title, author, or subject in which you are interested

·         Browse the catalog to discover new reads

·         Place a hold on an eBook or audiobook

·         Locate downloadable books available right now

·         Find other websites with free e-books

·         Suggest a title for library purchase

If you have never used OverDrive Media Console to download library books, and need help setting up your Kindle, Nook, iPad, or other device, please call your local Calvert Library to set up a one-to-one session with a librarian.  For more information call 410-535-0291.
