Lifelong Learning Series: Mobile Phone Photography

It has been said that the best camera is the one you have with you.  Today more than ever the camera that people have with them is the one that  makes phone calls, too—yes, that’s right—your mobile phone.  Mobile phone photography has grown into an art form, not just a quick way to take snapshots.  The quality of the photos you can get from today’s smartphone rivals that of many point-and-shoot cameras.

Calvert Library and Calvert Photography Club invite you to a free Mobile Phone Photography class taught by local photographer Guy Stephens, Feb. 25, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Calvert Library, Prince Frederick.

This session will discuss mobile phone photography and include:

·         Introduction to mobile phone photography

·         Advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones as camera

·         What’s an app?

·         Types of apps- camera, processing and other photography related

·         Demonstrate some photography apps

·         What are your favorite apps?

·         Q & A

Guy Stephens is a founding member and the immediate past president of Calvert Photography Club.  His passion and enthusiasm for photography has been a lifelong pursuit.  He also has a computer software background which has fostered a deep appreciation for his craft.  His work can be found online at www.southernmarylandphotography.com
