Basic Photography Workshop at Calvert Library
Whether your camera is old or new, simple or advanced, the way it captures a photograph remains the same. The simplest point-and-shoot models and fancy DSLR cameras all follow the same basic rules. Understanding those basics and combining them with simple, easy to remember tips and techniques is the first step toward capturing more emotional, powerful, and creative photos.
Calvert Library and Calvert Photography Club invite you to a free Photography Basics class taught by local photographer Jeff Smallwood, Nov. 26, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Calvert Library Prince Frederick.
Topics covered in this class include:
• An introduction to the basic features of a camera
• How to use your camera options to achieve different results
• Top tips and techniques for taking creative and powerful shots
• Basic rules of composition and lighting
• Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Bringing your camera to class is not required, but may be helpful for those that want to review their camera features during the class.
