Free Concert on 9/11 at Calvert Library (press release)

Calvert Library appreciates you!  In honor of our many wonderful customers, Calvert Library is hosting a special musical performance for Customer Appreciation Day.  On Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 pm, swing by Calvert Library Prince Frederick to enjoy a free concert, “The Heart of the Nation: A Musical Tribute to 9/11.”

 

As the popular GrooveSpan Duo, vocalist Jennifer Cooper and guitarist Carl Reichelt will give a poignant and captivating performance commemorating the resilience, camaraderie and patriotism of our nation.  Inspired by the unforgettable events of 9/11, the popular pair will share selections from the musical roots of our nation, including jazz, blues, and special arrangements of patriotic songs.

 

GrooveSpan Duo is a talented and versatile band that performs a myriad of genres with incredible skill, style, artistry and a deep passion for making music.
