Perhaps you have heard that the U.S. National Park Service is celebrating its 100th Birthday? Calvert Library Prince Frederick invites second through fifth graders to the party on Thursday, November 17 at 6:30pm! Learn how the U.S. National Park Service began and fun facts about the Parks throughout the United States. Make park-inspired crafts and play. According to Shannon Storm, Public Services Librarian, “The story of how the U.S. National Park Service began is an important part of our history that shows the value our government places on preserving the natural beauty of the United States. Fostering an appreciation for nature and the environment with children is essential to maintaining these areas for generations to come.” Please register online at http://calvertlibrary.info or call 410-535-0291.
