MAKE IT SNAPPY: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FOR TWEENS

Are you curious about how electricity makes a light bulb light up or a motor run?  Learning about electricity can be fun and easy!  On Thursday, November 6 from 6:30-8:00 pm, Calvert Library Prince Frederick is hosting an introduction to building circuits for tweens in grades 5-7.

We will have guest instructor from PaxSpace Makerspace, Hollywood, MD https://paxspace.org/. Teams will build at least three projects Snap Circuits.

Snap Circuits are hands-on and easy to build.  All parts are mounted on plastic modules and are easy to snap together.  Projects include an electric light and switch, a direct current motor and switch, and a conduction detector.  If time permits teams will have an opportunity to build their own project.

Registration for this event is required.  Light refreshments will be served.  Space is limited so sign up early!

To register or find out more information about this and other events, visit Calvert Library on the web at calvertlibrary.info or call 410-535-0291.
