What are you really worth?

On Wednesday, April 3, 2013, join Calvert Library Prince Frederick as we present an interesting and intriguing film about Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who is handicapped with the lowest salary constraint in baseball. If he ever wants to win the World Series, Billy must find a competitive advantage. Billy is about to turn baseball on its ear when he uses statistical data to analyze and place value on the players he picks for the team.  This film is rated PG-13 and is one of those rare movies that everyone should like, whether they are sports fans or not.

The movie was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture (2012), Best Actor (Brad Pitt), Best Supporting Actor (Jonah Hill) and Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay.

Lights go down at 6:00 pm and the film will be followed by a short discussion ending by 8:30pm.  Light refreshments and coffee will be served.  For more information call Robyn Truslow at 410-535-0291 or 301-855-1862.
