“Pizza With a Side of Books” -- An Event for Teens, at Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch

 

Some of us love to read. Some of us love pizza. Some of us love both! Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch is sponsoring “Pizza With a Side of Books,” an event for teens. Come join us on Tuesday, July 12, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

 

We’ll talk about the book “City of Bones” by Cassandra Clare, share recommendations of our favorite titles and series, and eat pizza! Pre-reading “City of Bones” is recommended. Come on by the Twin Beaches Branch to pick up your copy!

Crochet a tote bag and help the bay (press release!)

Crocheters wanted!  Come to Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch on Thursday, July 14, 2-4pm, to learn how to crochet a tote bag out of plastic bags!  Did you know that the average person uses 500 plastic bags each year?  Keep bags out of the Bay and create a tote from them!  Bring a bag full of plastic bags and your crochet hook (size K-P) and learn how to cut, tie and crochet the plastic bags into a beautiful tote.  New crocheters are welcome.  Come by Twin Beaches Branch and see a sample bag made by Carolyn Lenz, who will be leading this program.  Please call 410-257-2411 for more information.
